

Archie E. Proctor, 71, of Baytown was born September 3, 1940 in Abilene and passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at home. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of MENSA. He spent his career as an electrical engineer and retired from ARCO and later Rohm and Haas. He was an elder for almost 20 years at the Pruett and Lobit Street Church of Christ and was an outstanding Bible scholar, song leader, and author. He absolutely loved his Lord and all of his family, including his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Edward, Sr. and Erie Proctor and sister and brother-in-law, Francis and Cecil Barr. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anita Proctor of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, D'Ann and Fred Gonzales and son, Doug Proctor, all of Highlands; grandchildren, Tori, Allie, and Mason Proctor and Samantha and Alex Gonzales; great grandchildren, Skyeanne McFeaters and Kai Sarver; aunt and uncle, Peggy and Wayne Barron of Lubbock; niece and nephews, Janice and Lonnie Chapman of Odessa and James Barr of Dallas; and a host of other family members and friends.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Jesse Flowers and Michael Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
