

When he was a young boy, his family loaded up on a flatbed truck that they built a makeshift wooden camper on and moved to Baytown, TX in 1936. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lee College while working for Humble Oil Refinery. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant. He started off in the labor gang at Humble Oil and worked his way into the accounting department. From there, he studied drafting and moved into the drafting department. He finally moved to the process design department before retiring from Exxon Mobil Refinery after 40 years. He was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and just walking in the woods admiring the plants and wildlife.
Ardean was preceded in death by his wife, Saundra June Meadows; his father, Claude Edgar Meadows; and his mother Lula Belle Meadows.
He is survived by his wife Betty R. Meadows; 3 children; son and daughter-in-law, Perry & Julia Meadows; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela M. Collums and Horace Collums; son and daughter-in-law, Deral K. Meadows and Aracely Meadows; step daughter Linda Pratt seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one sister, Mignon Milby.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, December 29th, from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 pm with services immediately following. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX. 77521
