

Benny May Thomas, 88, of Bryan, TX, formerly a lifelong resident of Baytown, TX, passed away on December 1, 2021. She was born in Cedar Bayou, TX on December 13, 1932 to Benjamin Franklin and Dollie May Wilburn.
She was married to John “PeeWee” Thomas for almost 64 years. Benny May had a career in Education for 30 years teaching Elementary School in GCCISD. She was a member of Epsilon PSI Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, and had a passion for camping in their RV, square dancing, her church, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved “PeeWee”.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Bill Woods; son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Cheryl Thomas; grandchildren, Ryan Woods and wife Jennifer, Jordan Lockard and husband Alex, Alyssa and Meredith Futch, Trey Thomas; great granddaughter, Olivia Woods.
We would like to thank the caretakers and staff at Rollingbrook Rehabilitation Center in Baytown; the Isle at Watercrest in Bryan; and Traditions Hospice in Bryan/College Station.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:00 am for visitation on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
