Bernice Lewis

Bernice Lewis passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005 in a local hospital. She was born March 8, 1919 in Pelly, TX. to Tom and Maggie Wilmeth. She was a beauty operator for over 50 years, a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Sams club, and the 42 club at St. Johns Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kelley Lewis, and brother Charles Wilmeth. She is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Tommy & Carolyn Lewis of Lufkin, daughter & son-in-law, Jolene & Ronnie Whitehead of Baytown, brother & sister-in-law, Hub & Lillian Wilmeth of Blanchard, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Kelley & Donna, Terrie & John, Tamera, Kelton & Deborah, and Carrie & Jody, great grandchildren, Christy, Kevin, Wendy, Jerry & Debbie, Courtney, Kelley, Kaitlin, Andrew, Kyle, Andrew, Blaze, and Caleb, great great grandchild, Taylor.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, 10:00 am at Navarre Chapel with Rev. Brance Moyers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 pm. Pallbearers will be Kelley Whitehead, Kelton Lewis, Kevin Sowders, Kyle Bielamowicz, John Watson, and Jerry Watson.
