Betty Jane Barber Callaway

Betty Jane Barber Callaway, 77, of Baytown, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 in Wimberley, Texas. She was born January 8, 1940 in Houston to her late parents, Harold Barber and Evelyn Henson Barber.

Betty was a longtime resident of Baytown and a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1958, where she was in the Brigadiers. She was also a retired administrator from San Jacinto Methodist Hospital after many years of service and a member of the 1958 Lunch Bunch.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Ronnie K. Callaway Sr.

Survivors include her children, Missy Herrera, Patrick ""Mister"" Murphy, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, Ronnie K. Callaway, Jr. and his wife, Angie and Danielle Callaway and her husband, Joe; grandchildren, Ryan Patrick Murphy, Jesse Joseph Murphy, Tori Herrera, Candace Herrera, Robert Keith Callaway and his fiancé, Shellie, Cody Ryan Callaway and Colby Callaway and his wife, Lacey; great-grandchildren, Noah, Lochlyn, Kye, Carli and Austin; brother, Buddy Barber and his wife, Annette and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. John Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Patrick Murphy, Jesse Joseph Murphy, Robert Keith Callaway, Cody Ryan Callaway, Tate Barber and Callam Barber. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Massengale, Joe Eddleman, Pat Orchin, Buddy Barber, Robert Addison and Brian Dare.
