Betty Hopper

Betty Hopper, 87, of Baytown was born January 18, 1930, in Ingleside, TX and passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at her home. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and was a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from the Goose Creek School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry W. and Edna McGee; brother, Henry W. McGee, Jr.; sisters, Marie Fly and Norma Chapman; and husband, M. Ray Hopper. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Anita Hopper of New Braunfels and Drew and Kelly Hopper of Spring; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Terry McDaniel of Baytown; grandchildren, Randy Hopper Jr., Jeri Jensen, Reagan Hopper, Ryder Hopper, Chase Hopper, Shane Hopper, Kara Hopper, Andrew McDaniel, Marcus McDaniel, and Michael McDaniel; and great grandchildren, Sarah Hopper, Luke Hopper, Jacob Hopper, Valynn Hopper, Voltan Hopper, Piper Jensen, Presley Jensen, and Ryan McDaniel.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Baptist Church Chapel, 600 W. Sterling St., Baytown, TX 77520 with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the Memorial Baptist Church 100th Anniversary.
