Betty Munson, 82, of Livingston, formerly Baytown, was born February 7, 1935, in Edna and passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, in a Livingston healthcare facility. She attended the Ace Baptist Church and retired from the Tri City Exterminating Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Goggans and Ida Brieten; husband of 59 years, Vernon Duane Munson; and sister, Perlene Kyle. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Charlie Mills of Del Rio and Linda Diane and Johnny Downs of Baytown; son, Michael ""Corky"" Munson of Wallisville; sister and brother-in-law, Nelda and Tony Hlavaty; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Nancy Goggans and Doug and Jewel Goggans; grandchildren, Jason Elliott, Jana, Ashley, and Jared Munson, and Faith Hansen; and great grandchildren, Kayla and Krista Schneiderman, Jayse Munson, Kaydence Talbot, Easton Bayless, and Rhylan and Hannah Hansen.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, September 18, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Cedarcrest Cemetery on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Eddie Norris officiating.
