

Billy Tucker, 87, of Baytown, was born November 7, 1929, in Baytown and passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, in a Baytown healthcare facility. He retired from ARMCO Steel and was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge #321. He loved family gatherings and especially enjoyed his annual crappie fishing trips to Lake Sam Rayburn with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leander and Iva Tucker; wife, Jessie Tucker; son, Michael Ray Tucker; sisters and brothers-in-laws, LaVerne Tucker, Elda and Eddie Duzant, Velda and Walter Haffelfinger, Betty and George Nelson, and Elmer Griffith. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Rick Tucker of Baytown and Eddie and Linda Tucker of Cove; sisters and brothers-in-law, Iva Lee Griffith of Baytown and Nell Ruth and James Coker of Nacogdoches; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Mary Tucker of Lufkin, Frank and Elaine Tucker of Katy, and Jo Ann Tucker of Onalaska; grandchildren, Lt Jg Michael Glen Tucker, U. S. Navy and wife, Lindsey of Williamsburg, VA, Amber Hazlewood and husband, Robert of Cove, Larissa Tucker and partner, Dana of Tomball, Christopher Tucker and wife, Savannah of Beach City, and Johnathan Tucker and wife, Krista of Cove; great grandchildren Alera, Connor and Carter Hazlewood, Rhett, Wyatt, Jackson and Carly Tucker, Clay and Collyn Tucker, and Wesley and Delaney Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, September 25, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 12 noon at the Gann Cemetery in Central, Texas in Angelina County with Rev. Justin Carpenter officiating.
