Bradley Ryan Wolford

Bradley Ryan Wolford, 19, of Mont Belvieu passed away October 5, 2006. He was born on August 13, 1987 in Marion, Indiana. He was a friend to all and shared his warm smile and big heart with everyone he met. A 2006 graduate of Barbers Hill High School, Bradley was a talented athlete. He participated in football, basketball, golf, and track. Bradley won the Elks National “Hoop Shoot” two years in a row and earned numerous awards and trophies for his athletic efforts. “Brad” as he was known by friends, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed racing motorcycles and four wheelers. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family in need.

He was a member of Old River Baptist Church in Old River.

Bradley was a freshman student at Lee College in Baytown where he was studying Autocad drafting.

He is survived by his parents, Linda Wolford of Mont Belvieu and Jerry Wolford of Old River; a sister, Ashley Carter of Clear Lake; grandparents, Charles and Betty Shorten of Marion, Indiana; Faye and Earl Toulis of Converse, Indiana; Junior and Nellie Wolford of Mont Belvieu; great-grandfather, Thurman Harris of Bradford, Arkansas; aunts and uncles, Larry and Sheryl Shorten, Steve and Sindi Shorten, and Dave Shorten, all of Indiana; Wayne Wolford of Mont Belvieu, and Linda Krevda and Jimmy Wolford, both of Florida; numerous cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers and usual remembrances, the family requests donations be made to the Barbers Hill Scholarship Association in Bradley’s memory, P. O. Box 904, Mont Belvieu, Texas 77580.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, October 8, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX

Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 P.M., October 9, 2006 at Old River Baptist Church, 12948 FM Rd. 1409, Old River.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Shorten, Steve Shorten, David Shorten, Eric Shorten, Parker Speer, and Larry Shorten.

Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
