Carol Gary Fontenot

Carol Gary Fontenot, 63, of Mont Belvieu, TX, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, was born August 26, 1941 in San Marcos and passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2005 in a DeRidder, LA hospital. She was an avid reader who earned her BS from the University of Houston and her ME from Prairie View A & M. She retired from the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District with 26 years of service, having served as the principal at various schools over the years.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Agnes Gary and her brother Roger Gary Jr. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Fontenot of Mont Belvieu; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Kim Fontenot of Mont Belvieu and Vernon and Brenda Fontenot of Clearwater, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tommy Wagner of Lewisburg, WV; sister, Peggy Selden of San Antonio; and grandchildren, Randee Hatfield, Sarah Fontenot, Samantha Fontenot, Mandy Fontenot, Raymond Dahl, and Taylor Dahl.
