Carolyn Stegall, 85, of Waco, formerly Goodrich, TX was born in Nacogdoches, TX and passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in a Summerville, SC hospital. She was a member of Chalk Bluff Baptist Church in Waco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Popp and Johnnie Mayhar Popp; husbands, Richard Chesser and Kenneth Stegall; sons, Ricky Chesser and Randy Chesser; brother, James “Sonny” Popp; sisters, Betty Hurta, Hazel Tanner, and Lois Rather; and granddaughter, Sarah Chesser.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Beale of Ridgeville, SC; sons and daughter-in-law, Ken and Leah Stegall of Boerne and Len Stegall of Livingston; sister, Clara Navarre of Baytown; brother, Don Popp of Baytown; and 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery.
