

Charles M. Albright, 81, of Baytown was born October 2, 1927 in Trout, LA and passed away October 28, 2008 in a Houston hospital. He graduated from the San Marcos Military Academy and attended Texas Tech University. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from Exxon. He was an active member of Second Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for over 50 years, a trustee, Royal Ambassador leader and director of the Adult Sunday School Department. He was also a Red Cross driver and a Precinct Judge for district 414 for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isom and Betty Albright; brother, Kenneth Albright; sister, Margie Marie Barnett; and nephew, Charles Ray Barnett and is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Louise Lashlee Albright; son and daughter-in-law, Charles ""Bart"" and Patti Albright; daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Ed Ferguson and Margie Albright; sisters-in-law, Louise Lashlee and Betty Lashlee; grandchildren, Allera and Mark Porter, Emily and Marcus Thompson, Zachary and Grayson Hall and Adam Albright; great grandchildren, Madison Kate and Hunter Kyle Porter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, October 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 500 E. James Ave., Baytown, TX 77520 with Rev. Tommy Clements and Rev. Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Lashlee, Mark Porter, Marcus Thompson, Robert Schrock, Gary Schrock and Hugh Lashlee. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Adult 1 and Adult 2 Sunday School Classes at Second Baptist Church.
