

Charlie was born on September 25, 1949 at the Heights Hospital in Houston, TX. After graduating from Pasadena High School in 1969, Charlie served his country for six years with the US Marine Corp. Reserves where he held the rank of Corporal.
During his tenure with the Marines, Charlie founded a family and became a proud father of two sons, James (Jim) and Chad Kitchens both of Mont Belvieu,TX.
Upon leaving the Marines, Charlie began his 35-year career with Crown Central Petroleum in Pasadena, TX until his retirement in April of 2006.
Charlie loved life and had a passion for motorcycles. He was a member of several different motorcycle clubs over the years and made life-long friend with people from all walks of life who shared his passion for riding.
While pursuing his passion for motorcycles and riding, Charlie met the love of his life, Jme Daigle Kitchens through his connection to the Hou-Tex HOG Chapter and they were wed in July, 2007.
All who knew Charlie knew he was a loving, caring husband, son, father, brother and friend.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lamar Kitchens, Sr.
Charlie is survived and will be deeply missed by his mother, Noma Kitchens and his sister, Betty (Jack) Dunn, both of Banks, AR, his loving wife Jme Daigle Kitchens of La Porte, TX, his two sons, James (Angela) and Chad (Heather) Kitchens, both of Mont Belvieu, his stepson, Daymond (Desiree) Sewall of Lake Forest, CA and Kristin Daigle of Frederick, MD. Charlie was the proud grandfather of a host of surviving grandchildren, Tyler (Sady), Makenzie, Kamry, Riley, Cody, Callie, Kaden, Izick, Sebastian, Preston and Axel, his nieces, Jaclyn and Jocelyn, his great nephew Chase and great niece Emily.
Charlie was blessed with too many friends to count who loved his zest for life, his sense of humor and his ability to always evoke a laugh or a smile.
The family will host a memorial gathering at Navarre Funeral Home on Saturday, March 6, 2021 between the hours of 10 am and 1:00 pm. From 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, friends are invited to share special memories of Charlie.
