

Conrado Flores Garcia, 82, of Baytown, Texas peacefully passed away at his home with family at his bedside on Saturday, October 22, 2005. He was born on March 10, 1923, in Zaragoza, Mexico. He served in the U. S. Army from September 1943 through October 1945 and did his tour of duty in Belgium, France, and Germany during World War II. He was awarded the Infantry Combat and various unit citations. He had retired from Trinity Portland Cement Co. and Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District.
He is preceded in death by his mother Clemencia Flores Garcia, father Mathis Garcia, brother Graciano Garcia, sisters Soledad Guiterrez, Margarita Valdez, Demantina Ortiz, Marianita Lopez, Isabel Lafuente, Rosemary “Rosita” Rodriquez.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary M. Garcia. Six sons Conrad Garcia, Jr., Graciano Garcia, Florentino Garcia and wife Brenda, Richard Garcia and wife Cynthia, Louis Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia and wife Kim, two daughters, Alicia Arrendondo and husband Ron, Patricia Castaneda and husband Robert. Nineteen grandchildren David Garcia, Stephanie Garcia, Tracy Galindo and husband Larry, Shannon Hall, Mia Carey and husband Judd, Jennifer Garcia, Kathryn Cobb and husband John, Karen Arrendondo, Kristie Garcia, Keli Garcia, Timothy Garcia, Roxanne McFarland, Sherie Perez and husband David, Garey Salinas, Gabriel Salinas, Robert Castaneda Jr., Mark Castaneda, and Megan Garcia. Twelve great-grandchildren Brendan, Izabella, Wylan, Brelan, Adrian, Josiah, Lacey, Kaley, Aryana, Aerick, Makayla, Marina, and many nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank all the friends and family members for their support and love shown to us during his illness and our time of sorrow.
His sons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be David-Conrad Garcia, Shannon Hall, Timothy Garcia, Gabriel Salinas, and Garey Salinas.
Family will begin accepting visitors on Monday, October 24, at 6:00 pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Baytown on Tuesday, October 25, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.
