

Crescencio “Cris” Ruiz, July 1966 – April 2011, a resident of the City of Baytown, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Crescencio was raised in Baytown where he attended Carver Jones Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High and Robert E. Lee High School. He was a longtime employee of Pasadena Refining System, Inc in Pasadena.
He was one of six children born to Hilario and Mariana Ruiz and was the beloved husband of Lourdes Ruiz for more than 21 years. Crescencio will be forever remembered by his siblings and step siblings Juan, Artemio, Maria, Hilario, David, Jose, Gerardo, Ramon and beloved children, Elizabeth, Crescencio, Jr. and Luis. As well as countless other friends and family who were blessed to know him. Cresecencio loved working on his many cars and enjoyed cook outs with his friends and family.
Crescencio touched numerous lives with his bright smile, generosity and positive spirit. He was a great son, brother, father and friend. He was the first person to be there to celebrate any triumph and the first person to offer assistance to those that needed a helping hand.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m., at Navarre Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to attend a service on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jesus Lizalde officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
