

Dana Kay Henson Armer, a beloved and kind-hearted woman, passed away on October 12th, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on January 17th, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, Kay was a faithful soul who touched the lives of many with her warmth and compassion. She resided in Baytown, Texas, where she spent her days nurturing her family and her community.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elois Henson, her brother Stanley Henson Jr., her sister, JoAnn Northcutt, her husband, Gary Armer Sr, her daughter in law Kathy Greenwood Armer, and her granddaughter Sydney Armer. She is survived by her children, Gary Armer Jr. (Terry), Steven Armer (Penny), and Susan Kay Hotchkiss (Ronnie). Kay also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Kayanne Armer, Trey Armer, Madison Armer, Max Armer, Macy Armer, Thomas Hotchkiss, Allison Russell, and Jacob Hotchkiss as well as her great-grandchildren Jaxson Hotchkiss, Emery Hotchkiss, Cole Hotchkiss, and Eden Russell.
Kay loved her family, friends, and grandchildren deeply. Her passion for gardening was evident to all who knew her. She enjoyed working with plants and took great joy in her garden. Her commitment to her community was unwavering, as she was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church and was actively involved in the Service League, the Order of Eastern Star, the Wooster Garden Club, and several bridge clubs.
A visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, on October 17th, 2025, at 10:00 am. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue.
Kay's life was a testament to love, kindness, and faithfulness, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
