Sandra, I want to express condolences from both my wife and I, and from Donnie's friends in the Chambers County Men's Golf Association.  We've missed his company and participation for the last couple of years as he fought this fight, but he won't be forgotten.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Don a few times when playing golf at Chambers. I remember how nice he was and how he loved the game. He will be missed.

i will miss donny and his humor..i cherish the time i spent with him in january,while in fredricksburg...we emailed each other after that..he was missed last weekend at our 40th anniversity of texas jci senate..our prayer are with the entire family...he is playing golf in heaven...

Donnie will be missed by so many.  Thru the years he did many good deeds. I wanted to go see him at the 40th but I couldn't. I couldn't bare to watch as I lost another friend. I'm so sorry I was not there for the family.  Please forgive me.  It was my loss.  Brenda

Sandra and family, I just heard Monday that Donnie was sick. I am so sorry and we will all miss a funny, fun loving guy. My best memory will be the golf tournment in Las Vegas, JCI National Convention with the NY JCI. I know he and Linda Shafer are fighting right now with the trick they pulled on her. God Bless

Donnie was such a superb officer and president in the Texas JCI Senate, I'm sure the best we ever had. I had known him since helping to charter the Kilgore Jaycees in 1986-'87, and what tremendous work he always did on the local and state levels. Donnie will be greatly missed by so many people - please accept our condolences to the entire Yandle family. I will see you all Friday in Henderson.

Donny was a good friend through the JCI Senate.  I inquired though Jumper about him in Daytona.  Our prayers are with you and we will miss him.

Condolences to Sandra and all of Donnie's family. I was surprised and deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a friend and co-worker, especially at such a young age. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sadness.

We are very sorry to hear about Donnie's passing.  He was President of the Texas JCI Senate when I was national president and Earl was living in Texas.  We really enjoyed his meetings and being with him at other national meetings.  He will be remembered by many as a great friend.

I've been trying to write this all day and am still at a loss for words.  I'm so stunned and saddened by this news of the loss of a great Jaycee and more important, a great person.  I just found out that Donnie was ill at the 40th anniversary celebration this past weekend and stopped by Sunday morning, but at that time visitors were limited to family only, which I understand completely, but may it comfort you to know that we Jaycee senators feel like family to each other and we feel this loss deeply.  So I prayed for peace for Donnie and his family, headed home and waited for the e-mail confirming our loss.  Now, may God continue to give you peace, may he surround you all with love and comfort and may treasured memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.

My condolences to your family.  I remember our golfing times together and will cherish them.

I went to high school with Donnie in Kilgore and he and I worked together at the George W. Pirtle Scout Reservation on Lake Murval near Carthage one summer.  He was always nice and friendly with a good sense of humor.  I enjoyed him and am sorry for your loss.

We were totaly stunned.  Did not even know he had been ill. Got to know Donnie playing golf a JCI Senate National Copnventions.  He will be missed.  He was a good friend.

Dear Sandra,
We have been out of town for a few days and just learned of Donnie's passing.  Please know that we were so saddened with the news and will keep you in our prayers.

I grew up with Donnie in Kilgore.  The most vivid memory is being in the same group with Donnie while doing our student driving in the summer of 1969. We had a lot of laughs and talked about pop music of the day.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I remember first meeting Donnie at the Lexington, KY National JCI Convention when the group of Illinois Senators was asked if this guy from Texas could join us for golf since no one else from Texas played.  That meeting led to us playing golf together at every Annual convention and US JCI Senate Meeting thereafter until Donnie got sick.  He even joined the Illinois JCI Senate as a life member as he felt we were his second Jaycee family.  We will always treasure his friendship and long remember our golfing escapades with he and Doug Gressett.  That's all we did at Charleston, SC convention. The only thing I will never see is Donnie wearing a pair of shorts...he wore long pants golfing even at 100 degrees.

In the short time we knew Donnie, he left a positive and loving impression.  May he always continue to drive straight down the middle.  God bless his family in their time of loss.  We will miss him.  He was someone you couldn't help but like.

I did not know you or your husband but I could not help but noticing that he and my husband, Colby, were the same age. Colby also, just passed away and was at MD Anderson until Sunday a week ago when we had him transfered to hospice care here in Baytown. I feel like one of the few qualified people to say that I know what you and your family are going through. It is a very difficult journey to watch someone you love wilt away right before you. Hopefully you were blessed like we were and your husband discovered what was really important in life once diagnosed, and how to show his family how much he loved them.

Donnie was one of those special people that makes you proud to know them.  I am grateful to say that I worked with you and Donnie.  He lived a life of service and he packed a lot of life in his 54 years. Thanks for rubbing his feet. I just know that he is playing golf with his Heavenly Father. What a game that must be.
