

Dorothy Faye Coleman, 83, of Baytown, TX was born January 10, 1932, in Baytown and passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015, in a local healthcare facility. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School where she was a Lee Brigadier and graduated from Baylor University and received her master's degree from the University of Houston. She was a teacher and retired from the Goose Creek school district. She was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association and Memorial Baptist Church. She loved traveling, dancing, and being with her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and was a very caring and giving person to anyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Jewel King and husband, Roy Monroe Coleman, Sr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Lisa Coleman of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Roger McCoy of Montgomery; sister, Doris Billings of Baytown; grandchildren, Sheree and Jesse Gomez of Baytown and Roger McCoy of Montgomery; and great grandchildren, Alexis, Jenae, Kalie, David, and Diana.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, February 2, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating.
