

Dorothy Dell Allen Fields, age 78 of Baytown was born on March 7, 1932 in Crockett, Texas, Houston County, in a little farming community known as Jones School House. She passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in Baytown. Dorothy was the third of three daughters born to parents, Dalton Allen and Willie Walker Allen.
Mrs. Fields moved to Baytown in 1956, was a retired bookkeeper for Britton and Cravens Lumber after many years of service and had also worked as an LVN for many years. Dorothy was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Cedar Bayou Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 11.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, James Lewis Fields, who passed away in 2007; sisters, Clarice Allen and Louise Allen and step-daughter, Linda Dianne Fields Upton.
Survivors include her sons, Cecil W. Turner and his wife Gloria and Kris Fields and his wife Sue; daughter Pamela L. Burnett and her husband George M. Burnett, III; son-in-law, Ken Upton; granddaughters, Elizabeth Turner-Wallace and her husband Robbie and Kristie Jo Fields; grandsons, Troy Fields and his wife Tara, Jeremy Kervin and his wife Michelle, Scott Kervin, James Turner and Blaine Burnett; great-grandchildren, Kaegan Wallace, Meagan Whitley, Allison Whitley, Brittany Kervin, Jessica Kervin and J. T. Kervin.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Carol Turner and Rev. Jerry Lyons officiating. There will be a private family burial.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Kervin, Scott Kervin, James Turner, Blaine Burnett, Robbie Wallace and Blake Cather.
