Dorothy Mae Foster, 95, of Baytown, Texas, passed away, on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Prosper, Texas. She was born in Baytown, on January 23, 1930, to the late Laura Ferguson and William Thain. Dorothy was dedicated to her faith in God and was a lifetime member of Central Baptist Church. In 1956, she married the love of her life, a young man by the name of William “Bill” Foster. They spent the next 38 years together raising their 3 wonderful sons and enjoying their precious grandchildren until his passing in 1994.
Dorothy pursued many interests, some of which included cooking and baking. In fact, when guests came over, she could have a meal fully prepared with dessert afterwards within 30 minutes. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden. Dorothy naturally had a green thumb and could grow the most gorgeous flowers. Above all, her joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was proud of each of them and their accomplishments.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Bill; and her numerous siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her sons David Foster and wife Nancy, Robert “Bob” Foster and wife Teresa, and Dan Foster and wife Rose; her grandchildren Gregory Foster and wife Keely, Meredith Turnquist and husband T. Cody, Nicole David and husband Marcus, Michelle Sonnier and husband Christian, and Staci Foster; her nine great-grandchildren; her numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521, followed by a graveside service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
