

Mr. Haddon was a lifelong resident of the Baytown-Crosby area, a 1960 graduate of Crosby High School, member of the Crosby Buffalo football teams and also excelled at other sports while in high school. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and in his younger days, Douglas enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.
He spent most of his recent time visiting people, dancing, eating at Red Lobster and attending the Crosby Buffalo football reunions.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Vicki Haddon; brother, Lawrence Haddon; son-in-law, Michael Clement and friend Wayne Clement.
Survivors include his daughter, Carole Villere and her husband Denis of Baytown; brother, Donald Haddon and his wife Patsy of Crosby; granddaughter, Samantha Villere; friends, Lisa Carranza, Isabel Carranza and Niwassa Clement; niece and nephew, Jeff Haddon and his wife Cassie and Tami Harrison and her husband Shawn several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Philip Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Denis Villere, David Havel, Eddie Cowins, Jeff Haddon, John Severson and Gerald Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Harrison, Lee Franta and the 1959-1960 Crosby Buffalo Football Team.
