So sorry of the passing of Bill. What a terrific gentleman he was. Many years passed since speaking with him. Probably 1965 was the last time on good old Humble street in his front yard. My deepest condolences to Ms. Howell,Carol and Barbra.

Our heartfelt condolences to Mary,Barbara & Carol.  Our neighborhood will not be the same as 33 years ago when we first moved in next door to your parents.  Mr. Howell was our neighborhood watch.  He was our constant reminder of patience and tranquility as he sat in his chair in his driveway. We will miss our visits,the treats, the love he gave us and our children as he watched them grow up.We will use his words of wisdom:""ONE DAY AT A TIME"".""IF IT'S NOT ONE THING, IT'S TWO"".""3,000 MILES CHANGE THE OIL, PAY NOW OR PAY LATER"".Seeing your dad in his chair on the porch or his driveway every day gave our hearts a notion that he would live forever and ever.What a glorious day,this Easter Sunday, to start his eternal reward and be with his ""Gracie"".We love you.Your parents'next door neighbors.

Prayers are with Br Bills family. He was fortunate enough to have  wonderful daughters that took care of him .Br Bill was a gentle giant. At the young age of 99 he was still very active in Goose Creek Masonic Lodge, teaching, lecturing and bringing us that great banana pudding and jellies that he loved to make as much as we loved to eat. Bill was a quite and peaceful man. He will be surely missed .His love for his wife and girls was always known. He spent his life helping others. In the last few weeks he was blessed to have his girls at his side. Bill was widely known and respected in the Masonic community . His love of the craft was taught through many hours with hundreds of masons.He was always willing to step up and do anything asked of him . It was an honor and priviledge to know him and to have been blessed to be around him so often. Goodbye my true and faithful friend ,your kindness and advise are forever etched in my mind and in my heart.

My sympathy to Carol Badillo and all the Howell family on their loss. Your Dad was a ""gentle man"" in the true sense of the word. I know you fought to help your Daddy get back to health and it's hard to understand why the good people are taken from us. No matter how long we have the folks we love, it's never long enough. I hope you will find comfort in knowing you were such a special part of your Dad's well-lived and well-loved life. My heart is with you every step of the way.

My Condolences to Mr. Howell’s family, he was a great man. I meant him when my family moved next door to him when I was 3 years old. He was the first one to give a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and till this day I still think of him every time I make one. He will truly be missed but I’m glad he can be with his true love, Mrs. Howell, now.

CAROL, MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY. SEEING YOUR DAD'S NAME IN THE PAPER BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES OF THE TIME OUR FAMILIES SPENT TOGETHER IN AUSTRALIA. GOSH THAT SEEMS LIKE A LIFETIME AGO. YOUR MOTHER AND DAD WERE BOTH VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE AND I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF BOTH OF THEM.

SORRY FOR THE LOST OF YOUR GRANDFATHER. HE LIVED A LONG LIFE. I DID NOT KNOW HIM. HE IS WITH GOD AND HIS LOVED ONES NOW. HE IS AT PEACE NOW.

A man with such high morals and character and yet such a humble man. We will miss his expertise in our masonic esotoric work. I will always remember and love Mr. Bill.

I was so lucky to have my grandfather (papa)for 55 years. He taught me the meaning of family and his life experiences we would talk about I will always treasure.He taught me to work hard and be kind to strangers because that is what he was taught growing up. He was a rock when you needed someone to listen. There are no men left like him. But I know that he is now with Mimi his life partner. We will be together again but until then he has a special place in heaven with God for being a wonderful parent to my mom and my 2 aunts, Carol and Barbara. This world is a better place for him being here. Thank you for being there and loving me Unconditionally.I love you so much.

I was fortunate to have spent time with Uncle Bill in February and March.  We shared our love of cooking and traded dumpling and peach cobbler recipes. I listened to some of his wonderful stories, most of which were humorous.  I also observed first hand that he had a great love of family, as he encouraged my Dad at a time when he needed it most. I will miss you, dear man.

I have many special memories of my Uncle Willie but the most favorite memory as a child is I asked him one time to help me pull a loose tooth which he quickly did and then I proceed to cry the he pulled the wrong one! Uncle Willie began to laugh and said: ""I pulled the loose one the other one wouldn't come out!"" And he never let me forget it! I will always remember his wonderful candy he made and most of all is love that he gave to me! I am blessed to have had such a special uncle! You will always have a special place in my heart Uncle Willie!

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;
