

Earl Myers, 89, of Baytown was born March 1, 1927, in Crowley, LA to Elia and Oclive Myers and passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 4, 2016. He married the love of his life, Lena Jane ""Jean"" Sittig on August 14, 1948, and they had three children, Deborah, Dewanna, and Robert. He was a longtime member of Baytown's Second Baptist Church and was a U. S. Navy veteran. After he retired, he volunteered as a driver with the Red Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his five siblings, Dewey, Roy, Sadie, Tommy, and Matthew; and his beloved wife, Lena ""Jean"" Myers. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Deborah and Ron Humlicek, Dewanna and Bruce Warner, and Robert ""Bob"" and Kelly Myers; grandchildren and their spouses, John and Missy Warner, Kelly and Greg Rogers, Jeff and Jodi Warner, Rachel and David Hollars, Robert Humlicek, and Laura Daigle; and great grandchildren, Morgan Harvey, Brooke and Kate Humlicek and Jadyn, Jacob, and Mason Warner.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at Navarre Funeral Home on Thursday, December 8, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Tommy Clements officiating. A private burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

If there was one word that could describe Earl it would be love. He loved his family, his friends, his Lord and Savior, and his church family.
