

Ed Turner, 89, of Orange, formerly Baytown was born August 15, 1928, in Harper, WV and passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. He was a U. S. Air Force WWII and retired from NASA. He was a member of Baptist Temple, where he served as a deacon and he was very active in The Gideons International. He was a hardworking and dedicated family man who was loved by many.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Turner of Orange; sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Kay Turner of Long Beach, MS, David and Elizabeth Turner of Orange, John Mark and Dana Turner of Seabrook, and Robert and Marcia Turner of Austin; daughters and son-in-law, Susan Turner and Mona and Rick Brister, all of Baytown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Goldie Harper and Diane and David Thomas, all of Mauldin, SC and Juanita and Ron Milam of Pinehurst, NC; and 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, September 14, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 10:00 a.m. with his son Pastor David Turner officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Turner, Dustin Dorband, Clayton Daigle, David Brister, Trevor Turner, and Timothy Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Bret Turner, Matt Turner, and Derek Turner.
