Ron was a lifelong resident of Baytown. After graduating in 1956 from Robert E. Lee High School, he attended Lee College. He worked six years for Stauffer Chemical, six years for Exxon in Baytown, California, and South America, and twenty five years for Bayer Corporation. During Ron's retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV, golfing, church ministry, and spending time with his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, John and Albina Gilbert; and son, Dennis Gilbert. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gilbert; daughter, Terri Campbell and husband Michael; grandchildren, Rachel and Grace Campbell.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Navarre Funeral Home. A funeral services will be Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Don Wiehe officiating.
