Esther G. Horton

Esther G. Horton, 101, of Baytown was born July 17, 1913, in Beatrice, NE and passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, Baytown Pilot Club, Order of the Eastern Star Cedar Bayou Chapter #11, and the Social Order of the Beauceants Baytown Assembly #153. She also was the former owner of two Merle Norman Cosmetic stores.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Salome Heikes; husbands, Harry Bossart and Grant Horton; and four brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ty Self of The Woodlands and Sarah and Leonard Jeffcoat of Baytown; grandchildren and spouses, Kristina Self of Houston, Bryan Self of The Woodlands, Jessica and Blake Noack of Cypress, and Erin and Van Duke of Baytown; and great grandchildren, Brady, Tatum, and Bailey Self and Gracie and Grayson Noack.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday, January 20, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a private burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Richard Kleiman officiating.
