Fernando Cervantes

It is with a heavy heart that we inform everyone that the Angel Fernando "Ferni" Cervantes has left this earth to rest in peace and be with his other angels awaiting for him. He fought a long battle. He surpassed all the obstacles from diabetes, hypertension, liver problems, but the man with the biggest heart was taken by heart failure. He was a warrior and our guardian here on earth and now he will be from Above.

Fernando came to this country in 1982. During his time here he worked hard at bindery companies, and multiple side gigs. In 2012 he moved to Baytown to be with his family in Texas, and to pursue new work opportunities.

He had lots of love to give with no questions asked. He never stopped making people smile or laugh. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending every moment possible with his family and making memories. We will always be thankful to God for the wonderful person he created to be a Brother, Father, Tio, Cousin, and friend. If Ferni met you, he was going to make you smile. Anybody would tell you he was the funniest guy in the room. And just like he created him he took him home. We don't know how we will continue to live our lives and laugh without him. But our promise is we will always Lead and Love with all our hearts. This is not a goodbye but a till we meet again and continue our Journey. We love you love you forever.

He was preceded in death by her father Odilon Cervantes Perez, her mother Zeferina Salgado Reynoso, sisters Maria De Jesus, Antonia, Dolores, Asuncio and brothers Francisco, Juan, Gregorio.

He is survived by his, sons Fernando Cervantes Jr., JosHua Cervantes, and his daughter, Denisse Cervantes, 2 sisters Tomasita Rodriguez, Guillermina Cervantes, 3 brothers Julio,, Abraham Rigo Cervantes and numerous family that all loved him.

A visitation for Fernando will be held Saturday, March 1st, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, with a rosary service at 11:30 AM.
