Gertrude Evelyn Hill

Gertrude Evelyn Hill, 76, of Baytown, TX, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Gertrude was born in Fayetteville, TX, on April 5, 1938. She moved to Baytown after graduating high school. She married Jack Hill and had four children. She was a devoted wife and mother, who loved to read books, do word puzzles, and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack A. Hill; and parents, Iola and Henry Bernshausen

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Hall and husband Ken, Theresa Bell and husband Jerry, Carrie Rouse and husband Darrell; son Jack A. Hill Jr. and wife Jeannette; grandchildren, Leslie Vojacek, Jessica LeBlanc, Kayla Hall, Jeremy Bell, Kevin Hall, Megan Bell, and Darrell Rouse Jr. (D.J.); great-grandchildren, Jesse Vojacek, Mackenzie Vojacek, Zaine LeBlanc, and Paislee Cox; sisters, Virginia Fritch and husband Adrian, Violet Krenek and husband Robert, Stephine Zucha and husband James, Melba Reisner and husband Tony, and Judy Catasein and husband Jay; brother Henry (Sonny) Bernshausen and wife Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Jack Hill Jr., Darrell Rouse, Darrell (D.J) Rouse Jr., Jerrell Vojacek, Ken Hall, and Kevin Hall.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 2:00p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery.
