Gwendolyn Sue Duncan Cormier

Gwen was born March 13, 1952 in Bogalusa, LA. She moved to Texas with her family in 1968 at the age of 16. She married and had two daughters. In 1972 Gwen and her daughters moved to the Baytown area and then in 1981 finally settled in Crosby, TX, where she met and married her wonderful husband and best friend, Lee Cormier. Gwen had a very full life and her priority was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafts and collecting the materials to do her crafts. She also loved garage sales, but her favorite of all was collecting antiques. She had a great appreciation for antiques and anything old. Her home was filled with all kinds of antiques. Gwen had an unconditional love for everyone especially her family. She was the most kind and generous woman you could have ever met. She never met a stranger and was known for her great sense of humor.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Cormier of Anahuac, TX; daughters, Cassandra Dunning of Crosby, TX and Kimberly Dunning of Cove, TX; grandsons, Chase Odom of Crosby, TX and Dylan Dunning of Cove, TX; step-children, Sherri Cormier of Liberty, TX, Willis “Bubba” Cormier and wife Kaylyn of Anahuac, TX and Keligh Woods of Anahuac, TX; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Andrew Dunagan of Liberty, TX , Kyle Cormier of Anahuac, TX and Megan, Madison “Red” and Makaila Woods of Anahuac, TX; she is also survived by her mother, MarleneDuncan of Cove, TX, sisters, Margaret and husband Jerry Tullos of Livingston, LA and Donna Bogie of Cove, TX; brothers, Ronnie and wife Tammy Duncan of Crosby, TX and Eddie and wife Toni Duncan of Cleveland, TX; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at 4:00 P.M. at the Anahuac Cemetery, Anahuac, TX on Hwy 563.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dennis “Bubba”, Kevin, Anthony and Clint Duncan, Brian and Blake Bogie; Honorary Pallbearers, Chase Odom, Dylan Dunning, Willis Cormier and Brent Tullos.
