Harold L. Murphy Jr.

Harold L. Murphy Jr., 79, of Baytown was born December 17, 1925 in Houston and passed way Wednesday, June 29, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. He taught Sunday school and was an East League Little League coach for many years. He retired from Exxon Chemical and was a U. S. Navy WWII veteran. He had his Master’s Electrical License for many years for the City of Baytown.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, July 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Tate officiating. Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, TX at 1:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Murphy of Baytown; sons and daughter-in-law, H. Lee Murphy III of Waco and Patrick Lee and Melinda Murphy of Jefferson; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Walter McGettigan of Dublin, CA, Laura and David Smith of Baytown, and Sarah and Rich Boisture of Woodbury, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Shirley Murphy of La Porte; and grandchildren, Kristen Smith, Kelsey Smith, Kyrie Boisture, Savannah Murphy, Trevor Murphy, Katelyn Boisture, Tanner Murphy, and Matthew McGettigan.
