Hermelinda ""Mellie"" Salazar, 43, of Baytown was born September 3, 1965 in Alice, TX and passed away Saturday, December 28, 2008 in a local hospital. She was a happy go lucky woman who loved her family and enjoyed cooking, fishing and listening to music.
She was preceded in death by her father, Omar Salazar; son Jaime Salazar; and nephew, Christopher Garcia. She is survived by her loving mother, Juanita Salazar, husband, Sunny Gonzalez, sons, John Salazar, Joey Salazar and Ricky Gonzalez and daughters, Rosemary Perez, Bianca Perez and Toye P. Gonzalez, all of Baytown; brothers, Pedro Garcia of Baytown, Mario Salazar of New Jersey and Ricky Salazar of Iowa; sisters, Edna Hernandez and Annabelle Galvan, both of Baytown and Clarabelle Salazar of New Jersey; and several grandchildren and friends.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Monday, January 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
