

J. C. Walker of Baytown, TX was born in Kirbyville and passed away Monday, December 12, 2005 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Memorial Assembly of God Church and was a U. S. Army WWII veteran. He was a barber for 52 years in Baytown and owned Walker’s Barber Shop.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Kyle, Rev. Larry Hays, and Rev. Ava Lea Woods officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vie Walker of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mike Tucker of Baytown; sister and brothers-in-law, Maedean and Red Knight of West Columbia; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Gladys Merchant of Hitchcock and Leslie and Mildred Guy of Conroe; grandchildren and spouses, Bryan and Sara Tucker, David and Stacy Tucker, and Stephanie and Vince Page; and grandchildren, Alesia Tucker and William Page.
