

James was a businessman in the Baytown area for over 35 years. He started pipelining at the age of 17. He established four successful businesses throughout Texas and Louisiana. James believed a man’s success could be measured by how well he provided for his family. He felt a man’s word was his bond. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He has held the state record for the largest speckled trout for the upper Gulf Coast since 1986. He took pride in the love of his family and friends. He was a God fearing man, a loving husband, and an amazing father and grandfather. He was a lifelong member of the L.D. S. church.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Connie Blalock and a brother, Jerry Blalock.
He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Barbara Blalock and his two sisters, Nadine Duck and Norma Knight. His children include James Blalock and wife Roberta, Angie Dunaway and husband Ricky, Happy Blalock, Micheal Blalock, April Coley and husband George, Kristi Moak and husband Brad, grandkids, Toni, Wesley, Josh, Jermey, Dacia, Witney, Gage, Hayli, Tori, Brently, Alyssa, and Kylie, great grandkids, Destinee, Gracie, Rowan, Daniel, Brodie, Kason, Imani, Jordan and DJ, as well as numerous other family and friends.
Family is forever and the memories will forever last.
Interment will be at Blalock Cemetery in Liberty, MS.
