James Clinton Pond, 74, of Baytown, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 10, 2013. James was born on July 6, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Willard and Beulah Pond. After graduating from high school, James got a job as a welder. He later married Zora Hill and the couple had two daughters. James was a very creative man. He enjoyed building all sorts of things, from birdhouses to crosses and everything in between. James also enjoyed fresh and saltwater fishing.
James is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zora and his brother, Willard Pond, Jr. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Lemons and Roxanne Pond and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There will be a private memorial service to honor James at a later date.
