

Delma Jane Laramore Mickenheim, born July 9, 1959 in Livingston, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2026, in Argyle, Texas, surrounded by the love of the family and beautiful friends that she cherished so deeply.
Jane was the daughter of Ben and Nettie Mae Laramore, who survive her, and who remained a constant source of strength and pride throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mickey “Big Mickey” Mickenheim, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love; and her granddaughter, Nevaeh Hope.
Jane is survived by her son, Mickey “Little Mickey” Mickenheim, and his wife, Stacie; her daughter, Rachel Ristevski; her treasured grandchildren — Scout, Piper, Major, Rebel, Milena, and Bradin; her brother, Brian Laramore, and his wife, Barbara, her niece Shelby Scepansky and her husband Grant; and her nephew Colton Laramore and his wife Kate.. To her family, Jane was a source of unwavering love, comfort, and encouragement. She poured her heart into every relationship, and her presence was a gift that shaped each of their lives.
As a widowed single mother, Jane pursued her lifelong dream of earning a college education, while continuing to be an extraordinary mother. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2004 and went on to complete a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology in 2005 — achievements that reflected her determination, resilience, and belief in growth at any stage of life.
Jane built a meaningful career of nearly 20 years with the United States Department of Defense, ultimately retiring in 2025 after leading a team of Community Readiness Consultants for the U.S. Air Force. Her earlier experience as a small business owner shaped her into a compassionate and capable leader. She devoted her career to helping service members and their families adjust as they returned from active duty, offering guidance, understanding, and a steady hand during some of life’s most challenging transitions.
Jane never met a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Her warmth filled every room she entered, and her love for her family was the heartbeat of her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, perseverance, and unwavering devotion — a legacy that will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched.
