I know that Jason will be missed deeply.  Everyone that he met, he touched in some way.  I remember High School baseball games, Jason and all the guys.  What a friend he was!  Keep watch over us now Jason as you stand in heaven next to God and the Angels.  See you when I get there.  Until then, you live on in all of our memories.  And what great memories they are.

I remember Jason from high school. I didn't know him well.  We only had a class or two together, but through the few interactions we had, he left an impression upon me.  He was always happy, helpful, and good to others.  He was a genuinely kind and wonderful person.  My deepest sympathy to his family, and friends who knew him best. You are in my thoughts.

I will always have fond memories of Jason. He was a good kid when I first came in contact with him while umpiring baseball in the Baytown area. A happy go lucky kid who never gave any body any trouble. But the most fun was watching him develop into a young man and firefighter. I always enjoyed talking to him when I would see him at church. I will always remember Jason as a light hearted, funny guy who always had a smile on his face. When I saw Jason, for the first time in years, at my brother's graduation party, I remember thinking to myself..""Wow, he has gotten so tall!"" When I asked him about his sister Mindi he smiled so big, and then he told me about her son and he said, ""He is such a great kid!"" It was wonderful to see Jason and to catch up on all that has happened in our lives. I was so proud of Jason and my brother Michael for becoming fireman. As the daughter, wife, and sister of a fireman, I hold deep respect for them in my heart. I know Jason would have made a great fireman because he had such a big heart for it. My thoughts and prayers are with his family now. To Jason's wife I would just like to say that it's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but you should find comfort in knowing you were a special part of such a well-lived life. It cannot take away your pain, but just know that you are not alone. You will be in my thoughts every step of the way.

It seems like only yesterday the North Little League ""Reds"" always got a little pumped up when they played the ""Phillies"" because of young scrappy players like Jason. I worked with Jason in the engineering business a few years ago.  He was a joy to work with, eager to learn and a fantastic work ethic.  Jason also had a gift for making sketches on trips to the refinery.  I became very reliant on him when we worked together.  His positive attitude made every day better.  The world was surely a better place when Jason was here.

We had the pleasure of meeting Jason through the Barrow family.  We just saw him at church last Sunday and talked with him about his upcoming Paramedic training with the Fire Department. I worked with Jason for a short time at Sherwin Williams, and had not seen him since, but everytime I saw Cody he would tell me about uncle Jason being a fireman, and that he went up on stage when uncle Jason graduated from ""Fireman School"" the last story about uncle Jason was how much fun they had on Friday. Just from what I have read today, and from listening to Cody I know Jason was a great guy.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

We were so sorry to hear of Jason's passing.  Rick, we grew up playing ball together and played together for many years as adults.  Then we watched your kids grow up playing ball. As an aspiring firefighter, I met up with Jason this past February to talk firefighting with him.  Even though he had had a long day in class, we visited for close to four hours with me asking him question after question about the profession, the process of getting hired, the academy, why he chose firefighting, etc.  He didn't mind answering every one of my questions and made himself available to me if I had more at a later time.  I was able attend his graduation from the academy last month and witness his wife place his badge on his uniform.  I will remember Jason as a selfless and giving person who loved the Lord.  He was an excellent man.
