Jerry was born in Cushing TX on August 18, 1939, the youngest of 3, to Chick and Lora Wade. They moved to Houston in the early 50's. After high school he joined the Air Force where he received training in Communications and Electronics. He worked at NASA for many years during the Apollo missions. He later worked at MOBAY, which became Bayer Chemical. He retired from Dan-lok Mfg.
He is survived by his daughter Leigh Ann Wade and step-son Eric Jacobs.
Jerry was married to Cassandra Kimling for 47 years before her death in 2016. Her death affected him deeply and his health began faltering not long after. He dealt with many health issues and it took a toll. He was still strong in mind and spirit until the last day.
Preceding him in death are his parents Edgar (Chick) and Lora, siblings Billie Jean Wade Williamson, Weldon McCoy Wade (Buster), and step-son Michael Jacobs.
