Jewel Blasingame

Jewel Blasingame, 98, of Baytown was born July 9, 1911 in Yoakum and passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at home. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and the Duplicate Bridge Club. She enjoyed camping, fishing, working in her yard, playing bridge and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. A. Blasingame; son, Charles Blasingame; and son-in-law, Joe Davidson. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Davidson of Pasadena; daughter-in-law, Joyce Blasingame of Baytown; grandchildren, Charla Blasingame Malek and husband, Chris of Beach City, Cathy Blasingame Edelfelt and husband, Jon of El Paso, Clay Blasingame of Baytown, Lisa Allen and husband, Mike of Pasadena, Karen McPherson and husband, Bill of Midland and Daryl Davidson and wife, Peggy of Alexandria, VA; great grandchildren, Aaron Malek, Austin Malek, Lacey Blasingame, Trent Blasingame, Chris Allen, Jennifer Allen, Heather Allen, Steven McPherson, Ryan McPherson, Corey McPherson, Sam Davidson, and Claire Davidson; and great great grandson, Jacob Reyes.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday, April 14, 2010 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brad Hoffmann officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
