

Jimmy Wayne Cochran, 71, of Mont Belvieu, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Jimmy was born on March 11, 1936, in Mont Belvieu. He was the son of Joseph and Adeline Cress Cochran. He was a fun loving person, one that was loved by everyone. He was a true comedian, the man who never met a stranger and was never short for words. Down through the years he gave everyone a nickname. He loved hunting, fishing and camping and going to the camp house on the Trinity River. Over the years Jimmy worked in the oil fields and retired from Mills-Bennett after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Adeline Cress Cochran. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shepherd Cochran; two children, Kent Lee Cochran and wife Kathy of Dayton and Keith Wayne Cochran of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Keith Allen Cochran of Mont Belvieu, Dusty Snider of Dayton, Kody Cochran of Dayton, Cody Snider of Dayton and Kay Lyn Cochran of Dayton; sister Evenlyn Sellers and husband Chuck of Baytown; brothers, Melvyn Cochran of Cove and Joseph "Tookie" Cochran of Bazoria; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Baytown. At his request, his body will be cremated.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Tilton, George Dugat, Wayne Merritt, Jimmy Oliver, Tony Sims, Johnny "Boy" Barrow, "Poor Boy" Faulk and Lloyd Gigout.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, Houston and Southeast Region, 2425 West Loop South, Suite 330, Houston, Texas 77027-4207.
