He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Gonzalez Torres; brother, John Torres; and granddaughter, Alexis Padilla. He is survived by his wife, Dora Torres and sons and daughters-in-law, Jacob and Liz Benitez and Joe Frank, Jr. and Gina Torres, all of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Juan Ruiz of Houston, Veronica Chapa and Agustin Rojas of Jacinto City, and Jenave Torres and Daniel Oseguera, Heidi Torres and Mike Harewood, and Amanda and Miguel Martinez, all of Baytown; mother, Victoria Torres of Hereford; three brothers; two sisters; twenty two grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Vass officiating.
