

Joy was a lifelong resident of Baytown, graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, member of Trinity Tabernacle Church and a retired clerk from Finger's Furniture Store. She was also a member of the Goldenaires Club and the former owner-operator of Little Friends Day Care.
Miss Davis was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Agnes Young and Melba Atkins and a brother, Henry ""Bud"" Davis.
Survivors include her sister, Katherine Oliver; cousin, Betty Haltom and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Joy's family extends a special appreciation to her Trinity Tabernacle Church Family, who provided unbelievable love and support to her.
Also, a special thank you to the staff at the Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center of Baytown, including Elnora Stevenson, Merle Sheppard, Alice Redmond, Danielle and Maria and for the loving compassion from our dear Rachel Winters.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Rev. Don Sparks and Bishop Merle Sheppard. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be
Charles Young, Clinton Young, David Young, Robert Vespa, J. D. Douthitt, Chuck Tortorich and Stan Holzaepfel.
