Judith Gemma ""Judy Nichols

Judith Gemma ""JUDY"" Nichols, age 51, was born in Trinidad and Tobago on June 21, 1964. She resided in Baytown, TX for over 35 years was the second child of Nestor and Sylvia Raphael. Judy passed peacefully from this life to be with the Lord on June 27, 2015 and was surrounded by family and loved ones at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.

She was employed by Goose Creek independent school district for 25 years where she made many great friends. Although she resided in Baytown, TX she never forgot her Trinidadian culture. Judy was very creative and enjoyed making decorations for weddings, planning events, creating homecoming mums and building scrap book albums. Her family meant the world to her. She loved movies, dancing, singing, traveling, and spending time with those who were dear to her. Her favorite phrase was ""It is what it is: ""it's gone be what it's gone be.""

Judy was preceded in death by her father Nestor Raphael and mother Sylvia Raphael, two sisters Victoria Thomas, Jennifer Carrier and nephew Devin McCloud III.

Judy is survived by her two children Breana and Schaun Nichols; Janie Nichols- mother in law, her brothers, Anthony Raphael (Charlene) of Allen Texas, Clive Raphael of New York, Roger Steel, Edwin Raphael and Sherwin Raphael of Trinidad and Tobago; sisters, Maria Lardie of Detroit Michigan and Julieanna Adams (Rick) of Crosby, TX. Nephews and nieces, Dexter Steele (Tasi), Alysse King, Derick Nichols, Jalisa Nichols , Gabrielle and Victoria Adams, Aaliyah Raphael, Eleanora, Ava and Guerra-Grace Raphael and great nephew Zion Stewart.

We would like to give special thanks to the staff and nurses at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home.
