

Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 from 12 – 1 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home on Rollingbrook Drive in Baytown.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Bro. Beau Rosser of 2nd Baptist Church, Highlands, Tx. officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery, Highlands, Texas.
Katie was born on January 26, 1941 in Denton, Texas to Goebel and Willie Carter. She attended school in Denton. She moved to Baytown in 1961. In 1975, Katie married Franklin Krampota. Katie worked several jobs over her lifetime including Cross Walk Guard, Dental Assistant, and School Bus Driver. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Baytown, Texas.
Katie was a feisty and sassy lady who loved playing Canasta and any type of domino game. She loved all movies, watching the Astros, and her dog, Lucy.
Katie is preceded in death by her parents, stepson, Jimmy Don Krampota, brother, Otis Richard Carter, nephew, Ricky Carter, sister-in-law, Barbara carter, and grandson, Dustin Wright.
She is survived by husband, Franklin Krampota of Baytown, children, Daniel Lee Sims, Jr. (Janna), Daymon Sims (Sallie), and Tonya Sacci, (Michael), stepdaughter, Donna Wright, stepdaughter-in-law. Darlene Krampota, Grandchildren, Dawn Flewellen (Tommy), Caleb Sims (Torie), Alyssa Tooley (Darryl), Elijah Sims, Zachary Sims (Ashley), Baylie Sims (Riley), Daniel Boyer (Cici), Renee Boyer (Jake), Ronda Batchelor, Lisa Krampota, Taylor Wright, Great Grandchildren, Noah Flewellen, Nolan Flewellen (Brooklyn), Blaire Sims, and Clark Tooley, Great-Great Grandchild, Blake Flewellen, nephew, Oliver Carter, and a host of friends, including her “running buddy”, Joyce Pennington.
