

Kerry Frank Gunn departed this earth and was reunited with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 11, 2013, at the age of 60. He was born in Duncan, OK to Frank and Clavelle Gunn. He graduated Duncan High School in 1971 and joined the Honors Program at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated first in his class in Mechanical Engineering in 1975 and attained a Masters in Engineering at Purdue University in 1977. He joined the oil industry in Baytown, TX in 1978 and had been working in the oil, gas, and chemical industry, most recently as a consulting engineer for LyondellBasell.
He was united in marriage to Sharon Gunn on March 9, 1996, and they enjoyed 17 happy years together. He served faithfully as Deacon at Wooster Baptist Church and served Christ through many activities, including Sunday School teacher, greeter, usher, Vacation Bible School worker, and member of various church committees. Kerry was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather who was very proud of his family. He especially enjoyed trips to the Frio River, attending birthday parties, and going to his grandchildren's ball games. He will be greatly missed by all who love him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Gunn, and granddaughter, Lauren Ashley McMahon. He is survived by his wife Sharon Gunn; sons Timm (Janee) Gunn and Chris (Brianna) Gunn; daughter Kim (Tyson) McMahon; son Keith (Di'Aana) Butler; mother Clavelle Gunn; sisters Barbara Gunn and Sheila (William Paske) Gunn; grandchildren Timmy, Mikayla, Janean, and TJ Gunn; Sean, Shane and Emma Gunn; Ty and Colton McMahon; Blake, Ashton, Braedon and Reid Butler and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Timm Gunn, Chris Gunn, Tyson McMahon, Keith Butler, David Paske, and Randy Kimmey. Honorary pallbearers are Timmy Gunn, Ty McMahon, Sean Gunn, and Blake Butler.
Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown. Funeral services to celebrate Kerry's life will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Wooster Baptist Church, 7007 Bayway Dr., Baytown, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Wooster Baptist Church.
