Lois Bernice Fulton

Lois Bernice Fulton, 87, was called home on Friday, April 29, 2011 with her family at her side. She was born September 14, 1923 in Harris County near Wooster, TX to Raymond M. Hurr and Annie Hurr. She was born and lived on the family homestead all her life. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School, she went to work at General Tire as a lab technician where she met the love of her life, James E. Fulton whom she married on February 6, 1949. She settled into married life and she became a homemaker.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Those who know her will regale you of her cooking skills. You never left hungry after one of her meals. She was a very religious and caring woman. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church. She was a devout Christian who was in church as much as her health allowed. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Chapter #11 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a past worthy matron.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Aubrey and Glen Hurr. She is survived by her faithful husband, James E. Fulton; son, Michael Fulton and wife, Cindy; daughter, Ginger Burnside and husband, R.D.; grandchildren, Kristin Charter and husband, Marc, Lindsey Fulton, Ben Burnside, Haley Burnside; and great grandchild, Cole Charter.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, 2714 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77521 with Rev. Luis Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
