

""Retta"", as she was known to her family and friends, was a retired LVN that had assisted doctors in surgery for 18 years and was also the School Nurse at Barbers Hill High School. She was a member of Old River Baptist Church who loved life, her family and God. Retta also enjoyed fishing and camping and running the road in her motor home. She, along with her husband, started Johnson Trucking. They moved heavy equipment over the lower 48 states and she was known to be able to drive an 18 wheeler as good as anyone.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Williams; infant daughter, Debra; brothers, Louis Janak, Jr. and David D. Janak and sisters, Lorean Farrell and Mary Latham.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Johnson; son, Danny Williams; step-children, Nick Johnson, Jeffery D. Johnson, Phyllis Ray and Terry L. Johnson; sister, Ruby Parker; brother, Glenn R. Janak; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home with services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lane Johnson, Austin Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Wyatt Willoughby, Cole Williams, David Wood and Bobby Steadham. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaylee Steadham, Kyle Steadham and Lucas Lafargue.
