

Lucy L. Guidry, 87, of Baytown was born November 9, 1926, in Violet, LA and passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. James House of Baytown. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, where she was a former regent. She was a RN at various Baytown and Houston area hospitals and she retired from the American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Andrew Guidry; parents, Neville and Lucy Pellegrin; sisters, Mary Bouvier and Lois Pellegrin; and brother, Neville Pellegrin, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Lois Garrett and Karen Yates of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Kay Guidry of Houston; sister, Agatha Rhodes of Houma, LA; brother and sister-in-law, Harlan and Louise Pellegrin; grandchildren, Lisa Goodwin, James Yates, J. R. Guidry, and Elizabeth Guidry; great grandchildren, Kade Goodwin, Mikayla Yates, and Mikenzie Yates; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 800 W. Baker Rd., Baytown, TX 77521 with Rev. Terrance Brinkman officiating. Entombment will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Yates, David Goodwin, Kade Goodwin, Bob Pellegrin, Jerry Bouvier, and Randy Garrett.
