

Lydia was an extraordinary woman who loved God and loved her family. She was a very devoted prayer partner who was always excited to share her strong faith in God with all no matter what your church affiliation was. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was most proud of her greatest gift from God, her three beautiful grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
She also enjoyed watching MeTV which brought back lots of memories of good clean television from back when she was younger. She loved to chat on the phone, get her hair and nails done and her occasional bus trips to the Casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents Isabel and Julia Hernandez and sister Ester Gutierrez.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Felix Munos Sr; children, Angela Munos ; Theresa Munos of Highlands; Felix Munos Jr. and wife Julie of Baytown; Melanie Mason and husband James of Highlands; grandchildren, Julissa Cabrera; Abigail Munos and Felix Munos III of Baytown; sister, Janie Flores of Highlands; brother, Paul Hernandez of Baytown and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and God children.
Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Johnny Hernandez, Jorge Contreras, Rodney Sebren, Cullan Bryce Sayers, Derek Sanders, James Webb and Glenn Chisholm. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert J. Flores and Jim Spore.
Her family will receive friends for a visitation at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521 on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jeremiah Galvan presiding with a rosary to follow at 7 p.m. with Deacon George Rincon presiding.
Services will be Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech Street, Baytown, Texas 77520 with Deacon George Rincon officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to The National Diabetes Association or The Texas Heart Institute at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital.
In addition, the family would like to acknowledge the help of numerous family and friends for all their love and support. Special thanks to her team of doctors and nurses at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital and Faith Community Hospice, Kathy, Felicia, and Kay for the loving care they gave to our loved one.
