Lynn Spell

He attended school at Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, and graduated in 1965. After graduation, he attended two years at Lee College in Baytown. Thereafter, he joined the Army and served as an Infantryman Parachutist in the 53rd Infantry Brigade of the Army National Guard until he received an Honorable Discharge in 1974. Lynn was honored to serve as a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Sampson Lodge in Highlands, Texas.

Lynn worked as a professional auctioneer during his life and also held positions in industrial sales and worked for Exxon Chemical as a Mechanical Craftsman. Lynn was gracious with his talents and often performed auctions for local charities and religious organizations. He was always available for fund raisers for his friends and those in need. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Lynn was known for his larger than life personality, his patriotism, and his love for the cowboy life. He never left home without his Stetson and boots.

Lynn was preceded in his death by his father, Wilfred Spell, and his mother, Laura Benoit Wall.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna Cozzens Spell, his daughter, Tanya Spell Stork and her husband Brian, grandson Jacob King and granddaughter Briane King (""Sunny"" to her Paw), and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521, (281) 422-8111. Visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with a procession and burial to follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
