Margaret Ruth Allison

Margaret Ruth (Maggie) Donnelly Allison returned to her Creator on August 16, 2025. She was born on December 1,1946, in Goose Creek, Texas. Margaret graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Baytown, Texas, in 1965. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lamar State College of Technology in 1969.

She was a teacher/librarian, beginning her career in Big Spring, Texas. She worked at Watonga High School, Oklahoma and East Point Elementary School and Parkland Middle School in the Yselta School district, El Paso, Texas.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Lucretia Donnelly; her husband Rodney Allison; and her brother George E. Donnelly. She is survived by her nephews Daniel Donnelly wife Sarah, and Douglas Donnelly; her great nieces Searra and Aspen; and her great nephew Phoenix; and many cousins from the Donnelly / Simpson and Stovall/Leatherwood families.

Special recognition for her longtime caregivers Carlos and Nohemi Olivas, Nora Castro and Alicia Sanchez.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Batson Prairie Baptist Church, 11713 Batson Prairie Road, Batson, Texas.

A visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, on August 26, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Guedry Cemetery, 11761 Batson Prairie Rd, Batson, TX 77519, on August 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
